To condense my opinion on this topic, DnB has been popular everywhere but the US. I too live in the west coast, people don't really listen to DnB except a small amount of people. I do believe it's next in line to become popular (that's if the dark electro midtempo sound that has resurfaced doesn't make a big comeback). I myself don't listen to DnB as much but I'm sure it's a great genre. So is it correct to say it's made a comeback? no, not really as it never really gained mass popularity here in the states to begin with but everywhere has been enjoying for quite some time. Has it grown in popularity among the states? yes. It's that simple folks.

Its really hard to judge.  Before festivals, big Rave events and their headliners let you know which genres were popular at the moment. I remember Alice Deejay playing the mainroom and UFO and sage playing the back room... Then boom... Pendulum, Chase and Status, Bad Company, Tech Itch, Dieselboy.. were the main room headliners. The west coast scene was all about Dnb. Id say it was comparative to how they feel about dubstep at this moment in time.  New York being the home to Breakbeat Science had a giant Dnb scene too... This was the birth of Dnb in the states and one could argue that it was insanely popular comparative to the rest of the EDM following.  It even had a nice stir when Evol Intent, Ewun, and Spor were in the heat of things.  Im not saying it will be the pinnacle of the EDM industry considering how its grown... But At least its own stage/room again.

@grimeflu hmm maybe so but I do hope the US has a new found love for the genre because I believe with its talent and longevity, it actually is a masterful genre that is underrated and overlooked. Atleast some dubstep artist have incorporated different BPMs into their set including a bit of DnB to atleast get the crowd warmed up to it.

Realizing that he has "two D's" in his name... I just want to say if you're Oddprophet... im sorry.  I love you and i never meant to disrespect you in any way, shape, or form.  I had a lot of preworkout this morning and i get really hyphy on forums after preworkout... That poster literally gaslighted the shit out of you, they literally complained about you talking about your own experience, then went on to dickwave themselves.

I am upset, as this is the first thread I've properly read on here. Nice1 DD.
